چکیده
The changes in temperatures at Showa base in Antarctica were evaluated. Various parameters of temperatures at Showa base in Antarctica were obtained from Japan Metrological Agency. Parameters of temperatures were not correlated with years at Showa base (mean temperature in a year: r = 0.056, p = 0.7267). In addition, the number of days over 4 ̊C was negatively correlated with years. Global warming was not proved at Showa base in Antarctica in this study.

Plankton diversity and aquatic ecology of a freshwater lake (L3) at Bharti Island, Larsemann Hills, east Antarctica
The Larsemann Hills range is an ice-free oasis on the Ingrid Christensen Coast of Princess Elizabeth Land, East Antarctica, which includes Bharti Island, Fisher Island, McLeod Island, Broknes Peninsula, Stornes Peninsula, and several other islands, promontories, and nunataks. The Larsemann Hills is an ice-free area of approximately 50 km2, located halfway between the Vestfold Hills a...
متن کاملMonitoring the impact of global warming on wheat cultivation in the Mughan Plain (Germi) Using the atmospheric circulation model
Global warming and temperature rise will have many effects on different sectors, including agriculture, the warming of the earth will increase the rate of evaporation, and consequently the increase in the demand for agricultural products will increase. In this study, in order to monitor the effect of global warming on Mughan Plain wheat, using the LARS-WG model as a relatively inexpensive and a...
متن کاملPlanktonic Foraminifera Response to Sudden Global Warming in Late Maastrichtian, a Case Study from Ziyarat-Kola, Central Alborz, Iran
An abrupt global warming event has been recorded in many parts of the world in sediments of Latest Maastrichtian age between 65.45-65.10 Ma. This warm event was documented here at a section near Ziyarat-kola in Central Alborz based on analysis of planktonic foraminifera. An unusual abundance of normally large-size species such as Globotruncana arca, Globigerinelloides subcarinatus, Pseudoguembe...
متن کاملThe impact of the Madden-Julian oscillation trend on the Antarctic warming during the 1979–2008 austral winter
Antarctica is one of the regions where the earth’s surface is warming most rapidly. The interdecadal warming trend over much of Antarctica during the austral winter is about 1 ◦C decade−1, which is almost twice that of the global mean. There is increasing observational and modeling evidence that high-latitude warming is linked to localized heating in the tropics. Here we show that interdecadal ...
متن کاملDifferent magnitudes of projected subsurface ocean warming around Greenland and Antarctica
The observed acceleration of outlet glaciers and ice flows in Greenland and Antarctica is closely linked to ocean warming, especially in the subsurface layer1–5. Accurate projections of ice-sheet dynamics and global sea-level rise therefore require information of future ocean warming in the vicinity of the large ice sheets. Here we use a set of 19 state-of-the-art climate models to quantify thi...
